Wigg & Co - transferring detailed assessment to the SCCO

Call us on 01892 529518. Experience counts.

The SCCO is able to deal with all bills from the Court of Appeal, High Court, Principal Registry of the Family Division, Divorce County Court, and other County Courts.

Transfer to the SCCO can be achieved by simple direction to this effect and a case which is of high value, complex or which is going to take considerable time to assess is clearly suitable for transfer. The same may be true of a low value bill containing a novel and complex point of principle.

Parties must be given the opportunity to make representations as to whether or not the case should be transferred. Bills below £75,000.00 in figures will usually be given a hearing date 4 to 6 weeks ahead. Above that figure the hearing date is likely to be 3 to 4 months ahead.
