Wigg & Co - Rule 47 submissions as to costs before judgement
Call us on 01892 529518. Experience counts.
New Supreme Court Rules 2009: Rule 47 submissions as to costs before judgement will be made before Judgment unless before the close of all arguments a Party applies to defer making submissions until after Judgment. Under R.49 either Party may request a provisional assessment of costs by the Registrar. If either or both Parties are dissatisfied with the provisional assessment the Registrar will try to resolve it in correspondence. If that fails he will appoint a hearing before two Costs Officers one of whom will be a SCCO Master and the other an appointee of the President - probably the Registrar.
